Apple launched the latest major update to macOS Mojave recently, and now the company is preparing the next software update for the desktop OS.
Update: Apple today also seeded the second developer betas of iOS 12.1.1 and tvOS 12.1.1. The iOS developer beta is available as a standard OTA update for registered developers, or it can be downloaded and installed from Apple’s official developer portal. tvOS 12.1.1 can be downloaded via a profile with Xcode.
Meanwhile, Apple also seeded the first developer beta of watchOS 5.1.2. To update, the Apple Watch must be connected to its charger, have at least 50% battery life, and it also must be connected to an iPhone.
The new developer betas are available now.

Today, Apple seeded the second developer beta of macOS 10.14.2 Mojave. This is prerelease software designed specifically for developers to test while in the beta stages, to prepare for the upcoming public launch of the same software. It’s available now as a free download for developers who have already registered their supported macOS devices. It can be downloaded and installed from the Software Update option within the System Preferences. It can also be downloaded by way of the official Developer Center.
As far as what’s new, it is likely that this new software update will not host any new major forward-facing features for the end user. Instead, as the version number suggests, this is a minor update that is meant to address any issues that have cropped up since the public launch of macOS 10.14.1. That will more than likely include general bug squashing and performance improvements.
macOS 10.14.1 saw the arrival of new emoji, as well as support for the Group FaceTime feature. With Group FaceTime, macOS Mojave users can talk with up to 32 people at once.
If any major new additions are discovered within the latest macOS Mojave beta, we will update this post accordingly.
