Apple just Released tvOS 11.2.5 and watchOS 4.2.2

Apple has officially released the newest versions of tvOS and watchOS to the public, launching tvOS 11.2.5 and watchOS 4.2.2. Both of these new versions are minor updates, as indicated by the minor uptick in version number. In each case, Apple is addressing any lingering issues and bugs that have surfaced since the last public update, as well as aiming to improve general performance on supported devices.

To update to tvOS 11.2.5, fourth- and fifth-generation Apple TV owners simply need to open the settings app on the set-top box, and then select software update. The over-the-air (OTA) update will then download and install. If you already have automatic downloads turned on, then the OTA update will arrive on your set-top box without you having to follow any additional steps.

Meanwhile, if you have a supported Apple Watch, to update to watchOS 4.2.2 you must make sure that the Apple Watch is connected to the charger, have at least 50 percent battery life, and be within range of the iPhone. You will then have to open the Watch app on your connected iPhone, launch General — Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions.

Both tvOS 11.2.5 and watchOS 4.2.2 are now available for download and installation. As is par for the course, the software may take some time to successfully update, so make sure you have plenty of time to update.
