While the 2018 MacBook Air is up for preorder right now, the device won’t go on sale until Wednesday, November 7. That isn’t stopping some lucky folks from unboxing the laptop in front of a camera, though.
Similar to what we saw with Apple’s iPhones earlier this year, some individuals out there in the world were able to get their hands on Apple’s upcoming MacBook Air, and have subsequently published their unboxing videos on YouTube. At the time of publication there appears to be three videos, and we’ve included them in this post below.
The shortest video comes in at just over five minutes, while the longest is about 11 minutes. In the videos we can see quite a bit, aside from the nice new MacBook Air with its Retina display and dedicated key for Touch ID. Apple is tossing in color-matching stickers, which is certainly a change of pace after all these years of having the same stickers in the box. Otherwise, it’s about what you’d expect.
Here are the unboxing videos:
The new MacBook Air includes that Retina display, Touch ID, and also bumps up the specs when compared to the last generation model. That includes up to 256GB of built-in storage, an 8th-Gen Intel Core i5 processor, a Force Touch trackpad, third-generation butterfly keyboard, and the T2 chip for added security.
The new MacBook Air will go on sale November 7, with folks who preordered their device arriving on the same date.
