It’s been over a few hours now that Apple has started accepting pre-orders for the iPhone XR. Priced at $799, iPhone XR is the new default iPhone for most users. You get the same edge-to-edge screen, Face ID, and the new Home-less gestures, in a package that costs $200 less than the iPhone XS.
If you don’t care about the super high-resolution OLED screen or the telephoto lens, the iPhone XR might be the best iPhone for you. The 6.1-inch screen though not an OLED is still a Retina display. This means that text and photos are going to be crisp and clear. And for good measure, Apple has included the Portrait mode in both the front and rear camera on the iPhone XR as well.
iPhone XR comes in three configurations. 64GB ($749), 128GB ($799), 256GB ($899). The 128GB is the best version for most users as it’s just $50 more than the base variant but gives you double the storage space.
What’s most striking about the iPhone XR are the colors. And that itself might be reason enough to choose iPhone XR instead of the iPhone XS.
iPhone XR comes in an array of 6 different colors! White, Black, Blue, Yellow, Coral, and Product Red. Our favorite, by far is the Red. The Black is a classic and the Blue comes close to the top of the list.
Now that Apple is accepting pre-orders for the iPhone XR for a few hours now, did you pre-order the device? If no, why? If the noise on social media platform is anything to go by, it does not seem like there’s a lot of interest in the iPhone XR, though analysts believe the device will do better than the iPhone XS series.
