There have been so many rumors about what Apple is planning on unveiling this Tuesday, October 30, that we basically know what to expect at this point. But it looks like one more report aims to nail things down a bit.
A new report from Bloomberg on Friday reiterates a lot of what we have heard in the past regarding Apple’s plans for the October 30 event. To start, the new report states that the new iPad Pro models that Apple shows off will feature minimized bezels, no physical Home button, and the new tablets will be dropping the Lightning port for USB-C.
Something new, though: This report states that Apple will include its own graphics chip in the new iPad Pro models, a new step for the company.
Beyond the new iPads, Bloomberg says that Apple is going to unveil a MacBook Air successor, and that this one will indeed boast a high-resolution display. That would mark an end to one of the most oft-requested features for the MacBook Air, so if that does happen that’s a machine that will probably fly off the shelves when it goes on sale. This new computer will reportedly have a 13-inch display, though. Unfortunately the finer details remain unknown, so we don’t know if this is actually going to be a new MacBook Air with updated display and internals, something new in the marketing department, or even a new version of the MacBook.
The Mac mini will also be getting updated next week according to this report. That upgrade has been a long time coming, and while a slightly tweaked physical design may happen, we will likely see a major spec bump under the hood that will really draw the attention of potential buyers
