Someone Might Buy an Apple Watch That Costs in the ‘Millions Range’

Expensive Apple Watches aren’t a new thing by any means. After all, Apple launched its own variant that cost upwards of $10,000 for whatever reason.

But the sky appears to be the limit for some luxury brands out there, and there must be a market out there for super expensive Apple Watch options. Brikk has just announced that it will be presenting the Lux Watch 4 Collection, which will host the Apple Watch Series 4 with a wide assortment of precious stones and other alterations in place to make it a luxury item and jack up the price tag quite a bit.

According to Brikk, the Lux Watch 4 is the result of five years of research and development. This is the 44mm variant, which features a 151-degree bevelled edge. There are seven collections in all, with options that include ceramic, carbon, titanium, and 18K gold which will be released over the next several months. The launch starts in November of this year.

That will start with the Lux Watch 4 in solid 18K gold, which will be available in white gold, rose gold, or yellow gold. It has a “shiny alligator strap”, with this basic model coming in at a whopping $28,995. The option with a “bevelled module bracelet” which moves the price tag up to $58,995.

There are plenty of other options in the mix, with prices that go up to $228,995. But we’ll let Brikk lay out its most expensive variant, in perfect caps lock:

“BRIKK HAS 12 DIFFERENT GRADES OF DIAMONDS AVAILABLE INCLUDING RARE BLUE AND VIOLET VARIETIES.. ADDITIONAL SPECIMENS SUCH AS RED EMERALD ARE ALSO AVAILABLE WHICH FETCH A COMPLETED WATCH IN THE MILLIONS RANGE.”

Brikk says it is currently only taking orders from current customers, and that delivery for select models will be in time for the holiday season.

I was in shock when Apple felt confident in launching $10,000+ Apple Watch Editions back in the day, especially for devices that were obviously going to be replaceable in a couple of years by new versions of the same, less expensive options. And obviously these wildly expensive luxury options aren’t new by any means, but it’s still kind of crazy to see them popping up.
